Nokia Maps 3.8 Beta available for download

Nokia Maps is available in v3.08 free download with big changes for the voice Drive dedicated to guided navigation.

This update allows you to avoid traffic jams and road blocks due to the function of routing and route optimization based on real-time traffic. This functionality is currently only supported in Germany, France, USA, UK and Russia.

Also new is the graphics, cleaned up the layout and increased the size of the buttons for easy use. You can now change the settings in the Drive and choose a contact as a destination (if present address).

Also note the name change application: Nokia Maps from Nokia Maps. This is the first in a long series of changes that we will see later this year in all Nokia services for future integration with Windows Phone.

Besides the features mentioned above, Nokia Maps 8.3 implements the new drive and feel. The screen now has buttons for "choice of destination", "Drive Home" and "Just drive."

While you are driving the information relating to speed, distance traveled and warnings for exceeding the speed limit are now more visible in the bottom bar.

In addition, through a simple 'tap' on the screen can also display information about the distance and time remaining to reach its intended destination.

You can download Nokia Maps Beta v3.08 from Nokia Beta Labs website and it's only compatible with 3rd generation Symbian smartphones: Nokia N8, C6-01 Nokia, Nokia C7-00, E7-00 Nokia, Nokia E6-00, Nokia X7-00, while Symbian S60 3rd Edition FP1 or 2 devices (non-touch) and S60 5.0 will not be supported in this version.
