Acer W4 : The First Windows Phone Mango Smartphone

The new mobile phone, whose availability in the market is expected by the end of this year, will be called Acer W4. Thanks to the Chinese blog zol.com.cn were made available the first pictures of the device coming from the Computex expo in Taipei.

The information is not much known about it, but the main technical characteristics known seems to be the screen to 3.5 inches (not too large) high density of pixels (480x800), the 5-megapixel camera, the presence of Wi-Fi, DLNA and 8 GB of memory.


During an event held last week, Microsoft pointed out that Acer will be a partner and will produce new Windows Phone Mango Smartphone.

 
Here are the specs of Acer W4 so far:

     3.5-inch WVGA touch screen capacitive;
     5 Megapixel camera with auto focus;
     HSPA and quad band GSM network;
     MSN8255 Qualcomm processor at 1 GHz;
     Wi-Fi connectivity with DLNA support and Bluetooth 2.1;
     Windows 7.5 Phone Mango;
     8 GB of internal memory.


Mango, alias WP 7.5, is a major upgrade that was officially unveiled last week and introducing over 500 new features. Among them are multi tasking, App Connect, IE9, visual search, the Music Search and more.
